How do I mount a lampshade with minimal visible hardware?

What hole size is required for an all-thread rod shade mount?
The hole in the shade must be 10 mm to allow M10 all-thread rod to pass through. Choose any cable clamp to secure the fabric cable above the shade.
How does a washer support a shade on all-thread rod?
By using a washer on the underside, this will support the weight of the shade. The lamp holder is then screwed directly onto the all-thread rod.
Shade Base Clearance Requirement
The base of the shade must be hollow enough to allow you to reach inside with your hand to fasten the lamp holder securely onto the all-thread rod.
Required Components List
You will need: fabric cable, cable clamp, all-thread rod (long enough to pass through), and a lamp holder. If you use longer all-thread, you will also need a retaining nut.
Lowering Light Bulb Height Inside Shade
If you would like the bulb to hang lower inside your shade, use longer all-thread or assemble in this order: cable, cable clamp, all-thread, washer, nut, cable clamp, and lamp holder.

Please note that this setup must be assembled directly around your shade during installation. We cannot send out a pre-wired pendant set that allows a shade to be retrofitted after assembly.
