Shade hole: 40mm

In Australia there are two different type of shade ring holes 40mm and 27mm. This post is for the 40mm.

The ring may sit high in the shade.

The ring may sit inside the shade.

You need to purchase a lampholder with shade rings which fit either side of the hole. They are called lampholders for light shade E27 size.

These lampholders use screw-in E27 light bulbs. You cannot use B22 bulbs.

You can double check the lampholder dimensions on the product page.

You cannot use lampholders without shade rings.
